The Tiger defense was shaky but good.  The Tigers had 5 errors but played well in tight spots to limit the Patriots to only 2 runs.  Karon Taylor and Morris led the way in hitting knocking in the three runs between the both of them.  Robbie Lane, other wise known as the closer, came in with no outs and runners on first and third and got one batter to ground out to the plate and struck out the final two batters to secure the win.  The win was the first over the Patriots in four tries.

Parker Deal had a RBI for the Patriots.

Coach Yanzetich's Tigers take on the Portal Panthers Tuesday night in the Region 3A opener for both schools.  Game time at Tiger Town is 5:30.
