Abbey Beasley took the pitcher's circle for Lady Tigers on a beautiful Tuesday night in front of an excited crowd at Tiger Town. She threw all seven innings, giving up 5 hits and striking out 2 panther batters. Early in the game both teams traded blows. After the 3rd inning Claxton trailed 4-3, but received an outstanding defensive performance from centerfielder Celsie Anderson. She caught 5 balls that the Portal batters sprayed in the outfield and helped keep the game close. Portal went on to score 3 runs in the 4th and 3 more in the 5th to win 10-3. Our tigers were led in hitting by Maddie Miller, Fayth Pemberton, and Celsie Anderson each with 1 hit.
