Tigers Muzzle Bulldogs

Claxton jumped out to an early lead with a TD pass from Taylor to Von Hagan to lead 7-0.  The defense again was outstanding forcing the Bulldogs to punt several times in the first half.  A stiff defense made the Bulldogs turn it over on downs deep in Tiger territory with 1:28 remaining in the half and the offense wasted little time and scored within a minute to take a 14-0 lead going into the half.  The score was electric as Taylor found Myles Freeman on an out route then he turned it up field for 65 yards to give the Tigers first and goal.  Taylor again found Freeman for the score.

In the second half Toombs began wearing down the 2-way payers from Claxton by running the read option to finally score late in the 3rd.  The Tigers responded back with another score and TOombs would score late in the half to cut the lead 21-14 with under 5 minutes to play.  The Tigers recovered the onside kick and was able to run the clock down to 1:00 before turning it over on downs deep in Toombs territory.

A desperation pass from the TCHS QB was intereceppted by Quincy Anderson to close the game out.

The Tigers wiil travel to Montgomery County next week.
